1. The service
NetTools provides free online network diagnostics and web utilities, including IP, DNS, TLS certificate, and port checks, a speed test, calculators, converters, and similar tools (the "Service"). The Service is provided for lawful diagnostic, educational, and administrative purposes.
2. Authorised use only
You may use the diagnostic tools only on hosts, domains, and networks that you own or that you are expressly authorised to test. Checking a system without authorisation may be unlawful in your jurisdiction and may violate the policies of your network provider. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to run any check you initiate. We do not provide support, advice, or tooling for testing third-party systems without permission.
3. Acceptable use and abuse
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to scan, probe, or map systems at scale, or to check hosts in bulk, whether manually or through scripts or automation. The tools are designed for individual, single-target checks.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other technical restrictions, or use the Service in a way that degrades it for others, including excessive automated requests.
- Use the Service, or information obtained from it, to plan or carry out unauthorised access, intrusion, denial of service, or any other unlawful activity.
- Misrepresent results produced by the Service, or present them as an official audit, certification, or guarantee of a system's security or compliance.
We may limit, suspend, or block access — including by rate limiting or IP-based restrictions — where use appears abusive or breaches these terms, without notice where necessary to protect the Service.
4. Rate limits and availability
Server-assisted checks are rate-limited per visitor, and limits may change at any time. The Service is offered on an "as available" basis: it may be interrupted, modified, or discontinued, in whole or in part, without notice, and individual tools may be added or removed. There is no service-level agreement and no guarantee of uptime.
5. Results are informational; no warranty
Results reflect a measurement taken from a particular network vantage point at a particular moment — for example, whether a port answered from our server, or which DNS records a public resolver returned. Networks change, caches expire, and firewalls behave differently depending on the source, so results may be incomplete, may differ from what you observe elsewhere, and may change at any time. The Service is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Verify any result that matters with an independent method before acting on it, and do not rely on the Service as your sole basis for security, compliance, or business decisions.
6. Third-party networks and data
Some tools depend on third-party infrastructure — for example, a public DNS resolver answers DNS lookups, and checks of a host necessarily involve that host's network. We are not responsible for third-party networks, services, or data, for how the operator of a host you check handles a connection from our server, or for any consequence of a check being visible in a target system's logs.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service, or from reliance on its results. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Contact
